Through strikes, lockouts, and political turmoil, we (actors and so many others) kept hearing “survive ’til 2025.” I had no idea that I’d be taking that literally…

2024 was not the year I hoped for. From the outside, you saw the wins and joy - and they were there - but not the challenges, struggles, and moments in between.

💉You may remember my TWO anaphylactic reactions in 2024, including the last one— so traumatic, physically and emotionally, that I’m still feeling lingering effects. It’s a stark reminder that I almost *didn’t* survive ’til 2025. It’s easy to sit in that…to think how seconds could have changed everything.

But here’s the thing—I DID survive. I was surrounded by love, healed, and uplifted by amazing family, friends and even some strangers— people I am eternally grateful for.

And I learned. Grew. Became.

Became more ME - stronger, bolder, wiser, more aware…

Became a new me— really just the old me now carrying the lessons, reflections, and best parts of myself (and let’s be real— some of the not-so-great parts, too,) while letting go of some parts that no longer serve me.

Because every day, every heartbeat, every tear, every drop of sweat, is an opportunity— to grow, evolve, learn, and become

Become who?

Well, that’s the thing about this journey. We can become more or less, evolve or regress, stand still or move forward. And you know what? Whoever you become, it’s neither good nor bad— it’s just a stop on the road to your next season of becoming.

How do I wrap up this birthday thank you note-turned rambling reflection? Hmm…

In 2025, I don’t just want to survive - I plan to THRIVE. And grow. And flourish. And show up— for myself and for others— like never before.

I’m still here (allergies, you will not win this lol) Get ready for me to be louder, bolder, and HERE.

The synchronicity of talking about kindness during snowstorms and then—BAM—a freaking snow plow showing up 1 minute and 8 seconds later is NOT lost on me. 🙈🩷

Snowstorms are pretty, annoying, and magical all at once. ❄️ The silver lining in all the chaos? They bring out the kindness in people. Whether it’s lending someone a shovel, giving them a boost, pushing them out of a snowbank, or helping them dig their car out, I’ve seen so much generosity amidst all this snow, and I absolutely LOVE it.

And the cherry on top? The kind snowplow driver who came to my rescue—just as I was talking about it! 🛻✨
