If you remember, for me, my New Year begins on my birthday (February 22nd.) Pisces season is in full swing - and so am I. (📸: @moniquephoto)

At some point this fall, I realized that I was waiting. This *panorama* had me, without realizing, waiting to do so many things, start so many projects, and just allow myself to live, until the *panini* was over. It slowly dawned on me that I was postponing joy for some arbitrary time in the aftermath of all of this - a time that none of us truly know when it will come (and we all know that even as we go “back to normal,” things aren’t fully “normal” yet.) At that point, I made a decision. I decided that, instead of waiting for this *paint by numbers* to end in order to experience the things I was looking for, that I’d start building that life in the now. In this (still) weird time. Because we don’t know when we’ll fully be able to move past this *pandemonium.* And something shifted. Instead of waiting, I found myself building the life I wanted IN this time, making the most of this strange era, instead of trying to work around it. Can you guess what happened? I felt way more at ease, more peaceful, and WAY more driven, if that’s even possible. Things started to fall into place. Opportunities started knocking down my door. I met new people. Tried new things. You get the picture.

In a very short time, just making the decision to create the life I want where and when I am today instead of unknowingly waiting for the next phase brought so many exciting things into my life. The biggest thing just being that overwhelming feeling of possibility.

So with my New Year just beginning, I feel renewed, hopeful, and energized for living in the now and actually putting into action the things I have been game planning yet postponing for so long. Here and now are EXACTLY where and when I need to be. I’m ready. Bring. It. On.
